• Buyer or "you": the business or person who places an enquiry or an order.
• Sample order: an order for single units, so you can check a product before buying in quantity.
• Bulk order: an order in quantity, placed on the basis of a quote.
• Quote: our written offer for a bulk order, setting out prices, quantities, lead time, packaging, delivery and payment terms.
• In writing: by email, or by another written message from us or from you.

Our products are made by hand by partner artisans using traditional techniques. Small differences in size, colour, grain, glaze and pattern between pieces, and between a piece and its photos, are a natural part of handmade work. They are not defects.

Photos on the site are for illustration, and colours can look different on different screens. If an exact match matters to you, order a sample first.

You may use this site to browse our products and to contact us. You must not misuse it, for example by trying to get around its security, sending automated requests, or copying its content in bulk.

• Prices on the site are sample prices, shown in US dollars. Bulk prices are set in your quote.
• Prices do not include import duties, customs fees or local taxes in your country.
• Shipping costs are confirmed before you pay.
• We may change prices on the site at any time. A change does not affect an order we have already confirmed.

If we find an obvious pricing mistake, we will contact you before taking payment. You can then go ahead at the correct price or cancel.

• Sample orders: we confirm the items, the shipping cost and the total by email before you pay. A sample order is accepted once we have confirmed it and you have paid.
• Bulk orders: an order is accepted once you accept our quote in writing and make any payment the quote asks for. Bulk prices, lead times and packaging are always agreed in writing before production starts.

We may decline an order, for example if a product is no longer available. If you have already paid for an order we cannot accept, we refund the full amount.

Online payments are processed by Cashfree, a third-party payment gateway. Your card details are handled by Cashfree and are never stored by us.

Payment terms for bulk orders, such as any deposit and when the balance is due, are set out in your quote. We start production of a bulk order once any payment due under the quote has been received.

Products are made to order. Bulk production typically takes 4–8 weeks after sample approval, depending on the quantity, the finish and the packaging. Lead times in a quote are estimates given in good faith, not guaranteed dates, unless the quote says otherwise.

Shipping, delivery times, import duties and damage in transit are covered by our Shipping and Delivery Policy.

When an order can be cancelled, how damage claims work and how refunds are paid are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

If you ask for custom sizes, finishes, packaging or your own labels, you confirm that you have the right to use any names, logos or artwork you send us. We use them only to make and pack your order.

The text, photos, designs and other content on this site belong to Hand & Muse or to the people who licensed them to us. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law. Apart from that:

• we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost sales or lost business; and
• our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, strikes, transport disruption, government action or customs delays. If such an event affects your order, we will contact you to agree what happens next.

Agreements about prices, quantities, specifications, lead times and delivery bind us only when they are made in writing. You are welcome to call or message us, and we will confirm anything we agree by email.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order. The date at the top of the page shows when the terms last changed.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes will be decided by the courts that have jurisdiction over our registered business address, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
